Incoming Bureau of Corrections Chief Maj. Gen. Alexander Balutan aired out his actions to the Bilibid bribery.

Bilibid Bribery has recently been one of the concerns as convicted drug lords were alleged to be using cellphones inside the cells.

Inmates are greatly prohibited to use any gadget for communication inside the cell. To strengthen the implementation, incoming Bureau of Corrections Gen. Maj. Alexander Balutan recently aired out his opinion on this.

Reported by Jun Veneracion of GMA’s 24 Oras, the incoming BuCor Chief expressed that he is willing to remove from office those who should be removed as he refers to those officials who cooperate with the convicts in making this possible.

He recognized the importance of the gadgets for communication that is why convicted drug lords would trade one million for one phone to be sneaked inside the Bilibid.

Maj. Balutan further said that 1 million pesos is a petty thing compared to what the phones can do for the convicts as he emphasized that it is through it that they can operate their illegal drug trades.
