The Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) was ordered to hold grip of security in three barangays of the island.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has doubled the security in the island of Boracay following the attack at the Davao City night market on Friday, September 2.
Although the security of the island is already tight to protect its stakeholders, including the tourists enjoying the siren waters and white sand of the island, the Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC) is now exerting more efforts to prevent the same attack to happen in the famous tourist destination.
The BTAC was directed to hold grip of security in three barangays of the island including Yapak, Balabag and Manok-manoc.
SPO1 Nida Gregas, Public Information Office of the Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO), said that their men are always ready for any security threats in the island.
Even before the Davao blast, they have already tightened security to protect the stakeholders in the island.
