As the number of victims of extrajudicial killings increase, the number of Catholic Church leaders also grow but the unfazed Duterte fires by cursing.
The Catholic Church and its Bishops were once again slapped by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the middle of the Church leaders’ criticism of the anti-drug war of his government, killing more than 3,000 drug personalities.
One of the last members of the Catholic Church who gave a bad word on Duterte was Davao Archbishop Fernando Capalla where he advised the chief executive to listen to the grievances of the public regarding his bloody anti-drug war.
President Duterte fired back by saying that Bishops across the country are all one and the same at being womanizer and having mistresses.
According to President Duterte, he is greatly dismayed listening to the Bishops of the Catholic Church who are talking like they are moral people when in fact, they all have controversies in their own lives.
The chief executive emphasized that he cannot stop the killings against those involved in the illegal drug activities because of he will move to do so, the whole Philippines will suffer and die.
“Kayo nakatikim naman kayo magkaharap, ano ang sabihin, may humahabol sa kaniya, may gusto siyang patayin, it’s paranoia. That is why invariably they are armed, and they will kill. Kaya kung hindi pa sabihin mo na akin ito, abuso ko lang ito. What for? Why should I care my countrymen?”, President Duterte said.
“Kaya itong mga … sila Capalla, iyong bishop namin doon. Kung mag… pareho man kami, may mga kabit rin. Sila Obispo, ako… mayor noon. Mga pari, p****-ina, bwiset. Mga pa moral-moral na… papaano ko pigilan iyan? Magpigil ako ngayon, patay ang Pilipinas”, he added cursing the leaders of the Catholic Church.
The four bishops in the Negros Island Region has issued a joint statement calling for an end in the mounting number of victims of extrajudicial killings in the Philippines.
