FVR Will Not Join Duterte’s Trip To China

Former President FVR is Duterte’s special envoy to China but he is not joining him to his trip to Beijing next week.

The Malacañan Palace confirmed on Thursday, October 13, the former President Fidel Valdez Ramos, also known as FVR, is not joining President Rodrigo Duterte in his state visit to China coming October 18 to 21.

This is despite former Pres. FVR was appointed by Duterte as his special envoy to China who is tasked to discuss the issue on the West Philippine Sea with his counterpart in Beijing.

Communications Sec. Martin Andanar said that it was Ramos’ decision not to go with Duterte but he did not state the reason behind.

According to Andanar, they are set to release the official delegation of the President to China soon.

Just recently, Ramos expressed his concern regarding the condition of the Philippines under the Duterte administration.

FVR said that the Philippines is on the losing end in the first 100 days of Duterte in presidency.

FVR’s trip to HK as special envoy to prepare for Pareng Digong’s trip to Beijing this October 18 to 21 was CANCELLED after Digong learned that FVR was going to make the PCA ruling one of the topics for discussion, contrary to Digong’s instructions. This explains FVR’s current sour-graping and non-inclusion in the President’s entourage.
