It is the government’s turn to air its side on the proposed Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in the oral arguments at the Supreme Court.
The second round of the oral arguments on Marcos burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) is set on Wednesday, September 7.
It is the government’s turn to air its side regarding the proposed Marcos burial which was earlier subjected to status quo ante order issued by the Philippine Supreme Court and is effective within twenty days.
An interpellation is expected to take place in the high court where the former and current employees of the government were invited to attend the oral arguments set on 10am of Wednesday.
On August 31, the first oral arguments was held where the petitioners, including the victims of the Martial Law, went through an interpellation.
As the August 31 oral arguments went to close, Supreme Court Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno issued a directive to the Office of the Solicitor General to secure the original copy of Former President Fidel V.Ramos’ Memorandum of Understanding signed by him and the family members of the late dictator in connection to bringing Marcos’ body back in the Philippines.
