Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach arrived in Manila on Thursday to welcome other delegates from other countries that are expected to arrive this week.
After the Philippines’ success in last year’s Miss Universe pageant, 40 beautiful ladies will strive for the prestigious crown that will be their ticket to be the next Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
The 65th Miss Universe competition will be hosted by the Philippines in 2017. The prestigious pageant is scheduled on January 30, 2017 at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena where as many as 15, 000 guests can be accommodated.
Beautiful ladies from all over the world representing their respective countries will be given an opportunity to unravel the beautiful country of Philippines weeks before the much-coveted pageant night.
Reports said the provinces of Vigan, Cebu, Baguio, and Davao will play major part of the pre-pageant activities like National Costume contest, Governor’s Bal, National Gift Auction, and Coronation Ball and the like.
In a recent news report of GMA news, reigning Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach arrived in Manila on Thursday, December 8, 2016.
According to a report, Pia was arrived in the country ahead of time to welcome other delegates from other countries.
Miss New Zealand Tania Dawson, Miss Korea Jenny Kim, Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Htun, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Indonesia Kezia Warouw, Miss Malaysia Kiran Jassal, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Australia Caris Tiivel, and Miss China Li Zhenying are expected to arrive this week.
The much-waited battle of beauty and brains will be held in the Philippines. But before the coronation, the Department of Tourism announced that the candidates will be flying to Siargao on December 11, followed by visits to Davao, Bicol, Cebu, and Vigan.
