PRESIDENT DIGONG – President Rodrigo ‘Digong’ Duterte, after the collapse of his announced unilateral ceasefire with other groups, admitted a rocky road for peace in the country but never loses his hopes for it.
Ever since the campaign election, President Digong has always included the promotion of peace in the country as one of his platforms. He has always been vocal that he wants conflicts to be resolved up to now that he secures the highest post.
As he has said in a recent report in Inquirer, “My desire is just to see my nation at peace and for everybody in this generation before I make my exit.”
Recently, in his first State of the Nation Address, President Duterte announced a unilateral ceasefire with National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) and the New People’s Army (NPA).
