Albay Rep. Joey Salceda spoke on the 30-year effect of the Marcos Sr. issue.
SALCEDA – The representative of Albay, Joey Salceda, signaled the desire for healing of the country after 30 years of continues divisions brought by the issue on the final resting place of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
It has been almost 3 decades of continues debates on whether the late dictator Marcos Sr. should be allowed to be laid down at Libingan ng mga Bayani or not.
For 30 years, the Marcoses have not given up the hope to give their head the best final tribute for him and the human rights victims have also not surrendered their fight for justice. It was always a 50-50 challenge until one man moved for the ending of the clash – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave the go signal to allow it.
Others might not totally get it as each is entitled to his own opinion but aside from President Duterte, a representative from Albay wanted to end this dilemma, Joey Salceda.
