2 MMDA Personnel Mauled by Violators Amid Clearing Operation in Pasay

Two (2) personnel of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) mauled during their clearing operations in Pasay.

Two MMDA enforcers were battered by a gang of men in Pasay City this Sunday afternoon, resulting in their injuries. The two MMDA enforcers were mauled by a group of individuals, as seen in a video taken by an MRT3 passenger.

Due to the number of punches and kicks from the suspects, it is also seen how the two enforcers collapse. The two had brain and bodily injuries as a result of the beating they experienced.

An MMDA enforcer can also be seen attempting to cool down while being pursued by a man brandishing a stick in the footage. The injured MMDA employees were brought to the hospital as soon as the beating was over.

The MMDA is conducting clearing operations against e-trikes traveling across EDSA, where they are not allowed, according to the police inquiry. According to Pasay City Police Chief Police Colonel Cesar Paday-os, an accost over an e-trike occurred there.

The men allegedly violently removed the e-trike from the MMDA members’ truck after they had allegedly entered it. The trouble is said to have begun when the MMDA halted them. The police claim to already be on the lookout for some of the batterers and to already know who they are.

Head of the MMDA Task Force Special Operations (TFS), Bong Nebrija, denounced the beating of MMDA enforcers in a Facebook post. He also demanded the surrender of individuals who were responsible for the beating. They will be the subject of a complaint from the MMDA.
