A total of 299 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from all throughout the municipality of Agusan del Sur received their respective Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) last Tuesday, September 17.
The distributed lands covered 393 hectares of agricultural lands with a total of 342 Certificate of land ownership awards (CLOA)
“Nalipay gyud ako ug dako sa dihang na nagunitan na gyud nako ang akong titulo, pamatood nga ako hingpit na nga nakapanag-iya niining yutaa nga dugay na namo gitikad (I’m very much thankful that I now have the land title, that serves as my proof as a land owner. I have been longing to have this land title),” Leonora Abadingo said as she did wait for this moment to come along.
Jamil Amatonding Jr., Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO II) of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), said that the department is doing their best in order to help the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries based on their individual needs in the farm as directed by President Duterte who sets to prioritize the provision of support services alongside land distribution to farmers.
In Amatonding’s statement, he further urged the beneficiaries to be mindful of their respective obligations especially in making use of their land to its fullness and to maximize their productivity.
Sanggunian Bayan member Fragen Romero, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Alvaro Orboc, and OIC-MARPO Shirley Salcedo were also present during the said momentum together with the DARMO Prosperidad personnel.
