Aiza Seguerra may be involved in overpriced snack at the National Youth Commission as its former chairperson which Commission on Audit found out.
Former National Youth Commission Chairperson Aiza Seguerra may be involved in overpriced snack in the agency after Commission on Audit found out about it.
It can be recalled that the recording artist has passed his resignation last March but it took effect on the following month.
He said that President Rodrigo Duterte has known his personal reasons in leaving his position and that he has his support for the said decision.
“Para siyang tatay. Nakinig, inintindi at pinalakas ang loob ko,” he said on his post.
After his resignation, there was an issue which arises within the agency he formerly led.
According to the report in Pilipino Star Ngayon, COA has found out that NYC has spent thousands of pesos for snacks during meetings.
It was said that COA reviewed the petty cash vouchers of the agency formerly led by the singer turned public official.
The said incidents happened last year when Aiza Seguerra was still the chairperson of the agency intended to look after the welfare of the Filipino youth.
It was discovered that NYC held 126 meetings last year, it has spent P296, 968 for the snacks.
In the said recorded meetings in 2017,112 were not recorded as official but it has spent P268, 068 for the snacks.
Reportedly, the payment cash voucher for these unofficial meetings has no sign of notice of meeting or office orders.
The notice of meeting will determine if the cash spent for it was authorized because it is indicated there who the participants are and where it was held.
Since the said unofficial meetings has no supporting documents, COA has declared that the money spent for most of the meals are unnecessary expenditure, based on the article.
