Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III expressed his idea on the adaption of federal system in the Philippines.
AQUILINO PIMENTEL III – On the eye to adapt a federal system type of government in the Philippines, Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III expressed that the country needs its own kind of federal system.
The changing of the type of government into federal system has long been one of the proposals of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Now that the 71-year-old man is secured in post, there is a great possibility that it would really happen.
Senate President Aquilino Pimentel III and his father, Aquilino Pimentel Jr. who was also a former president in the senate, have recently aired out their views on the adaption of federal system in the country.
Both Koko and Nene wanted a federal system that would suit the Philippines as reported in Inquirer.
Koko Pimentel even emphasized during the Senate Federalism Forum the need of the Philippines to come up with a version of the federal system that suits the Philippine society.
