Actress-turned-politician Angelika Dela Cruz shared the letter she received with a threat note and four (4) bullets.

Because of the threats she received, Angelika branded Philippine politics “napakadumi” (extremely unclean) in a Facebook post. It also confirmed that they are already being surrounded by outsiders.

“Napaka dumi po tlg ng politika sa ating bansa .. yan po ang sulat at bala na pinadala sa XO ng aming Barangay na nagsasabi na may 4 daw na susunod at kaya may umiikot na d kilala sa bahay naming mag kapatid.. grabe naman kayo kung sino man kayo na gumagawa nito sa amin,” Angelika said in his Facebook post.

According to her, the incident occurred a few months before the barangay officials’ and youth council’s elections, which had been postponed multiple times. A message was sent to Angelika by certain internet users. It is currently unknown what the captain’s next move will be.

Residents had previously criticized and swore at Angelika Dela Cruz, the barangay captain of Longos in Malabon, over the humanitarian commodities that her crew delivered. The actress resorted to social media to share screen grabs of the critics’ derogatory comments.

She wrote extensive posts in response to the alleged residents, who were actually a couple with the same surname as Angelika. Angelika also warned her detractors against pursuing legal action against them.
