Robin Padilla Reveals Being Not Endorsed By Friend Bongbong Marcos
Senator-elect Robin Padilla revealed that he was not allegedly endorsed by president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Padilla confirmed that he was not endorsed by the UniTeam’s presidential candidate throughout their campaign. However, he claims to still consider Marcos a friend and understands why the campaign took place.
He detailed his letter to Kris Aquino, in which he praised the actress and purported ex-girlfriend for her support, in a Facebook post. Some Marcos supporters couldn’t help but criticize Padilla for failing to mention BBM in his post.
He claims, however, that he does not need to mention Marcos because he did not support him during the campaign. He revealed that Marcos was permitted to join his slate because he is a buddy, but he was never backed by his supporters.
“Paano ko po sasabihin na isa sa alas ko na mag endorso sa akin si incoming president Bongbong marcos eh malinaw naman po sa lahat ng ganap nong kampanya na hindi po ako na endorso ng aking personal na Kaibigan.” said Robin in his post.
“Malinaw naman po na pinayagan niya ako na makasama sa uniteam dahil personal niya akong kaibigan at ang sulat ko po ay para kay kay ms Kris Aquino Malinaw din po ang aking pasasalamat sa marcos loyalist na ako ay kabilang. Hindi po ako Maari mag imbento ng ganap na ako ay inendorso ni PBBM na hindi naman po naganap at ilagay sa liham na para kay ms Kris Aquino,” he added.
He further stated that knowing whose side he is on is unnecessary because he has often defended BBM and its father, former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. He apologized for focusing solely on actions rather than dramas.
“Kung hindi po sapat ang pagiging marcos loyalist ko at pagtindig sa sinoman na mananakit sa marcos maging ito man ay buhay man o namayapa. Pasensya na po kayo hanggang aksyon Lang ako kulang po ako sa drama,” the actor noted.
He reiterated that he was a buddy, not a politician, before concluding his statement. “Politics is not real. Politics has no friends only personal interest. I am not a political friend. I will always be a personal friend,” said the actor.
