Comelec Gave An Early Warning To The Voters To Leave Their Cellphones During The Halalan Day
Now that the election day is coming, the Commission on Elections(COMELEC) is giving an advance warning to the voters that it was strictly prohibited to use a cellphone inside the polling precinct on May 9 halalan.
Due to the awareness of any illegal possibilities that may happen during the day of elections, the Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista said that the commission had already released a resolution such a principle to avoid any trickery like vote buying.
It was included on the list of the illegal things that are prohibited during the election are the texting, calling and even getting the picture using the cellphone inside the polling precinct especially if the picture that was taken is the ballot box or in the voter’s receipt.
According to Chairman Andres Bautista, it is a beneficiary on the day of election if the voters won’t bring their cellphones inside the polling precinct. And relating to this, he also clarifies that the members of the election inspectors (BEIs) are allowed to use their cellphones in case of emergency.
