China Supports Duterte’s Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign
China supports Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s war against illegal drugs despite the criticism of United States to Rody.
United States, European Union, and some human rights groups criticize President Duterte for the EJK incidents happening in the country due to his anti-illegal drug campaign. Despite this criticism, Beijing expressed their support to the Philippine president.
Since Rodrigo Duterte takes over the position of being the president of the country and since he implemented his war against drug advocacy EJK incident cases rises according to the chief executive.
“Under the leadership of President Duterte, the new Philippine government enacted policies that prioritize combating drug-related crimes. China understands and supports that,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said in a press briefing on Thursday quoted by Philstar.
