Teen King Daniel Padilla was flooded with criticisms online over his photo while holding his ballot inside the polling precinct.
The photo which was taken by reporter, Gretchen Fullido and was uploaded on the official Facebook page of ABS-CBN News gained the netizens’ ire who claimed that the 21-year-old actor made an election offense.

Daniel Padilla has yet to issue a statement regarding the alleged election offense he reportedly committed.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) earlier said that using of cellphone is prohibited inside the polling precincts.
“They cannot use it. And when we say ‘use,’ we don’t just mean taking pictures. You also cannot send text messages and call,” poll body Chairman Andres Bautista said in Filipino during a press conference last April 9, 2016.
A voter taking photos inside a polling precinct- as long as election offenses is concerned, can be penalized for 6 years of imprisonment if proven guilty.
Daniel Padilla has been subject of online discussion recently over his response to the netizens especially those who bashed them after supporting Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas.
“‘Di naman pwede tayo salita nang salita and hindi mo naman alam nangyayari sa eleksyon. Marami kasi nagmamagaling sa eleksyon, hindi naman botante, so shut up ka na, hindi ka naman botante,” he said in a media interview.
