In a chance interview, Robredo who as an active volunteer labor and human rights lawyer, said she won’t compromise issues of human rights if she would be able to work under the leadership style of Duterte.

Before casting her vote on Monday, Robredo visited the tomb of her late husband Secretary Jesse Robredo and the archbishop’s palace.

In the earlier surveys, Duterte and Robredo are showing chances but Senator Bongbong Marcos might top the VP race in the end of the day because of his banking strength form the solid north vote.

Though she is aware that the power of the vice-president is limited and is supportive to the chief executive, Robredo firmed that she would not compromise some cases such as the killing of criminals.

Duterte earlier publicly espoused his stand on killing criminals.

“Ako mangungunag mag-oppose sa kanya. Realistic naman ako, the Vice President has very limited powers pero ako magiging very vocal, lahat ng kaya kong gawin given my limitations.” Robredo said.

Robredo, if elected as Vice President, said that the Vice President must be supporting to the president even if they come from different parties but emphasized that there are things that she can’t compromise on.
