Daniel Padilla reacts to rashers over the alleged ballot selfies.
The “Teen King” Daniel Padilla reacts to his bashers during election. He and his rumored girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo were actively campaigning for Liberal Party bet Mar Roxas.
In an interview with Pep.ph, the “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” star said that he has already forgiven them after he cast his vote.
“Kahapon pa lang napatawad ko na. Kahapon pa lang, pagkatapos kong bumoto, parang, ‘Okay, next na,” he said.
During the election, Padilla and Bernardo was criticized over their “ballot selfies” captured inside their voting precinct. Netizens slammed them for allegedly violating the election rules.
Aside from that, they were also criticized for supporting and campaigning for the administration bets.
According to Padilla, he was not stressed on the politics but he was stressed because of the people. He added that he doesn’t understand why people are fighting over their candidates.
“Actually, hindi ako sa pulitika na-stress. Sa tao ako na-stress, e. Hindi ko sila naiintindihan kung anong nangyari. Parang biglang hindi na laban sa presidente yung nangyari, e, at pulitiko. Parang laban na sa tao sa tao,” he said.
Padilla said that the best thing for him is still unity. Although everone is rooting for their own candidates, he thinks that people should fight for union.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Duterte is still leading the unofficial vote counts of commission on election. His closest rival, Roxas, has already conceded the defeat.
Padilla added that he respects the decision of majority and he hopes that the presumptive president will fulfill his promises.
