DepEd Readying For The K-12 Program This Class Opening
The Department of Education or DepEd is now ready for the full implementation of K-12 program this school year 2016-2017.
According to the DepEd Usec. Tonisito Umali, despite the criticism and questioning that they received, was ‘all systems go’ for the implementation of the program.
“Pag sinabi po nating handa … sa isang malaking plano katulad po nitong (K-12) program, mayroon po tayong timeline or mga milestones bawat buwan, bawat linggo ng buwan ay dapat meron tayong nakikita na nangyayari,” says Umali.
In the report of philstar, Umali assured that they are prepared for the opening of classes in Grade 11 this June 13.
He said, so far, the teachers still undergoes training and was expected to end on June 13.
“We are on the right track …with respect to hiring our teachers. As we speak, we are training them,” he said.
While in the issue of inadequate classrooms, Umali said that there will be additional 23,000 classrooms now undergoing construction for Grade 11 only.
He said, large numbers of such classrooms are already done while the others are still under construction and was expected to be completed 3 weeks after the opening of the classes.
Umali assured, there’s nothing to worry about it because they had appointed a temporary classrooms for Grade 11 students.
