Imee Marcos Denies Donation On Duterte’s Campaign Funds
Donated money for Duterte’s presidential campaign funds in election 2016 was denied by Ilocos Norte governor, Imee Marcos.
Marcos denied that she donated money to the campaign of former Davao City Mayor and now Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte. Imee said that she helped to round-up the votes for Digong but she never gives any monetary contribution during the presidential campaign.
“It’s not true. President Duterte likes to make jokes to make us all jump in surprise, even I jumped,” said by Ilocos Norte governor during her interview on Monday (October 17, 2016).
Outside the SC compound, Imee gathered Marcos loyalists to show support for the planned burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Imee helped to gained votes for Duterte by rallying in some provinces such as Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur. Marcos said that she finds hard to gained votes from Ilocos for the former mayor of Davao City because Jejomar Binay and Grace Poe are both Ilocanos.
