Duterte Cracks Joke Over Disabled People
Davao City Mayor and Presidential candidate Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte were recently criticized and received a lot of negative feedbacks for his joke on Jacqueline Hammil, an Australian Missionary who was been rap3d and murd3red in 1989 hostage-taking by inmates in Davao City detention center.
He was even featured in the international regarding the aforementioned issue above.
The mayor still managed to crack some jokes that made thousands of his supporters laugh during his campaign rally.
As reported by Cedric Castillo on GMA-7’s “Saksi” yesterday, in his campaign rally in Kalibo, Aklan last Wednesday night, Duterte’s subject for his joke were his disabled friends.
“Iyong isa doon, classmate ko pa. Eh na-stroke, paganoon-ganoon (mimics). Gusto ko sabihin, ‘Pakamatay ka na lang’,” Duterte said facing thousands of his supporters.

He also added another story about an old man who still managed to look at women despite his condition.
“Iyong isa doon, 87 o 88, pagdating niya siguro maingay na, gaganon siya pilit (tries to lift head up), siguro may spinal (problem). Tinutulak pa, ganoon (lifts head). Tapos, tumatakbo iyong mga babae, tinutulak iyong mukha. Tapos ibalik ng yaya (pababa),” he said as thousands of his supporters laughed.
His statements are said to be against RA No. 9442 or the act amending Magna Carta for Disabled Persons. His statements were pointed by the National Council on Disability Affairs.
During his campaign rally, he highlighted that people should accept who he is.
