Duterte And Robredo’s Official Statement on Miriam Santiago’s Death
Duterte and Robredo’s official statement regarding the death of Senator Miriam Santiago on Thursday (September 29, 2016), at 71 years old.
Senator Miriam Santiago was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer since 2014, despite her disease she also ran for presidential election last May 2016. The senator was fighting the disease for almost two years since July 2014 because she also stated that she’s not afraid of cancer and she fears nothing.
On Thursday morning at exactly 8:52 am, Miriam had already passed away at the St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City that was confirmed by her daughter Mechel Santiago.
Also according to a report, Narciso Santiago, husband of Miriam said that the senator from Iloilo died in her sleep this morning. The senator was fighting the disease for almost two years since July 2014 because she also stated that she’s not afraid of cancer and she fears nothing.
