NHCP have already published and submitted their study regarding Marcos lies about his role in the military. The study proves that Marcos claims have no legal basis but NHCP did not get any positive response from President Duterte’s administration.

She noted that the president has already decided and no papers or documents can change his decision for Marcos burial. “You can’t blame us for trying, we did, and we went through a study, well-documented, but it appears his mind has been made up early on,” said by Diokno quoted by Philstar.

She also said that Marcos burial at the ‘Heroes Cemetery’ is an insult to the victims of martial law. It does not acknowledge the lives taken and destroyed during the Marcos dictatorship. Human rights groups and activists described FM dictatorship as the darkest time in the Philippine history.

The colleagues and staffs of the top historian wanted her to stay in the agency but she refused to stay. She said that young people are already doing her role in the society. She also noted that guarding the history is not only a responsibility of a one person but of all Filipinos, therefore all of us needs to be united for a better Philippines.
