Francisco Duque “Magtuturo nalang” and No Plans to Serve Government Again
Outgoing Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that he does not have any plans to serve the government again.
Duque said that she will resume her teaching career rather than seek another position in the administration. Following his impending demotion as secretary of the Department of Health (DOH) on June 30, 2022, Duque made the declaration during a radio interview.
According to Duque, he has spent his productive years working for the government and the people for the past 21 years. “Ay na hindi. I’ve worked for the government for 21 of my productive years, according to Duque, who spoke on the radio.
Duque acknowledged that his experiences were challenging, particularly during the pandemic. He underlined, however, that he had no regrets about holding the position of DOH secretary, particularly now that the nation’s COVID-19 status is favorable.
” Mahirap talaga. Pero wala naman akong regrets dahil mahalaga dito maganda yung resulta ng ating paninilbihan ngayon,” said the secretary. ” Natagumpayan naman natin kahit papaano ang COVID.”
According to him, the majority of the nation is currently in an Alert Level 1 state, the government has immunized more than 70 million people, and the populace is closely following all health regulations, including the wearing of face masks. After completing his tenure as DOH secretary, Duque claims that he will first take a rest before getting back to teaching.
“Magpapahinga ako sandali tapos babalik ako sa educational, sa academe… Oo, magtuturo ako at subukan kong palawigin yung universal health care sa medical and allied medical courses,” he said.
