Legislator Made A Proposal To Have A High School Night Class For Students To Continue Their Studies
The Legislator proposed a high school night class to every district in the Philippines for the students to gain benefits and to obtain more than basic education access.
According to Rep. Alfredo D. Vargas III (5th District, Quezon City), having a night class for students can help deal on decreasing problems of numerous school dropouts or to help the student on preventing their studies to stop.
“Data from the Department of Education (DepEd) stated that the reasons behind the gradual rising of the dropout rate in the secondary level are economic in nature. High school dropouts mostly occur because of the high cost of education or the students’ dire need for employment to financially support their families,” said Vargas.
Under the proposal, it is required to all public elementary and high school to open the rooms of the school in order to use for night classes.
