Advincula will not get free legal assistance from IBP
Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) turned down the request of Peter Joemel Advincula, who confessed that he is “Bikoy”, for free legal assistance.
Advincula appeared before the media on May 6, 2019. He claimed that he is the Alyas Bikoy in the controversial ‘Ang Totoong Narcolist’ video.
In his statement, he stressed out that the family of President Rodrigo Duterte is involved with a drug syndicate, including senatorial candidate Bong Go.
Advincula also asked for legal assistance for what he called, “ang totong war on drugs”.
On the other hand, netizens recalled a Facebook post dated back in 2018. It was a warning from netizen Jem Honghong against the self-confessed Bikoy.
According to the post, Advincula was a known scammer and swindler. Manila Bulletin writer Krizette Chu also thought that there is something fishy. She did not believe that Advincula and Bikoy are the same person.
The writer even stressed out some points on why they are two different men.
Regarding the request of Advincula for free legal assistance, the IBP did not grant it.
“The Integrated Bar of the Philippines through its National Center for Legal Aid is declining the request for free legal assistance made by Peter Joemel Advicula (Bikoy).”
Here is the full statement:
Prior to this, the IBP has already clarified that just like anyone else, Advicula came to them seeking legal assistance but they did not craft his statement.
