Japan investment worth $500M in aquaculture products will generate thousands of jobs in Ph.
Japan investment amounting to $500M or 24 billion pesos for aquaculture products is foreseen to be generating thousands of jobs in the Philippines.
Philippines, being rich in the aquaculture, has been chosen by Japan to be invested with $500M for nurturing flying fish, farm eel, and tuna which will be cooked and packed for export back to the country investor as reported in ABS-CBN News.
The report also entails that the Japanese community has already started the investment with 20 million yen as said by the chief operating officer of Nisshin Food Material Company Ltd, Naoyuki Ishikura.
Further, specified spots for the raising of the fishes were also mentioned. The Cagayan economic zone, General Santos, Davao, and the Clark Free Zone in Pampanga will be some of those spots that will hold the aquaculture.
After export, the exported products to Japan will be distributed in the investor country. The in-charge for distributing the exported products is the chief executive of the North Japan Trade, Noboru Oonishi.
