Rappler received fiery words from Aiza Seguerra’s wife Liza Diño for its “malicious report” about the alleged corruption in NYC
Liza Diño the wife of singer and former National Youth Commision chairperson Aiza Seguerra slammed social news website Rappler for its “malicious” report about his alleged corruption.
It can be recalled that reports started to arise days ago that the ex-NYC chair was involved with the issue of overpriced snack in the agency during meetings.
Based on a previous article, Commission on Audit found out that P268, 068 was spent for snacks which cash vouchers had no notice of meeting. By implication the meetings without notice of meeting are considered unofficial.
In line with this, Film Development Council of the Philippines head Liza Diño called out the attention of Rappler for maligning the name of Aiza Seguerra regarding this issue.
Diño, during an interview with PEP, clarified what happened between COA and NYC.
“Just to give you a one on one on how the government process works para hindi kayo magsalita at hindi kayo mag-ano agad, yung Rappler, kayo pa naman ang nagpa-fact check sa Facebook, eh napaka-one-sided ninyo,” she said.
The FDCP head also clarified that the issue has been ironed out now. The needed papers of COA from NYC had been reconciled already, according to Diño.
She also despised the thought that just for the aforementioned amount, her husband will be accused of corruption in the agency he formerly led.
“My God, isang kanta lang ‘yun ng asawa ko!” she exclaimed.
She added that Aiza Seguerra is the last person that people should think of committing corruption.
“Siya ang last person na iisipin niyong corrupt, abonado pa siya sa gobyerno noong nandun siya.” Liza Diño said during the interview.
When asked what the reaction was of her husband about this, Diño said that he just laughed about it.
