LTO Chief Waits For Malacañang Order to Vacate His Office
LTO – Land Transportation Office, Chief Edgar Galvate is stii waiting for the order of Malacañang Palace before to vacate his office as he said on Monday (August 22, 2016).
“I am only waiting when they will tell me to leave” he said on radio dzBB’s interview. If they have already ordered me to leave my office, I will immediately vacate the office but if they will tell me to stay I will still continue my work,” The LTO chief added.
Earlier President Rodrigo Duterte declare that all appointive positions in government vacant due to the non-stop corruption. Despite the issues the LTO chief said that they will still continue to perform the services offered by their agency as he told the employees during the flag-raising ceremony at the LTO’s central office in Quezon City.
On Sunday (August 21, 2016) during the press conference of LTO and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory board, the president specifically cited the corruption happening in the agency. These two agencies are under the Department of Transportation and Communications.
