With Duterte’s straightforward mouth, he did not apologize to Villaseñor, who was seating next to his running mate, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.

The good thing is, Mexicans are ready to forget those badmouthing.

Enrique Peña Nieto, Mexican President, congratulates the Philippines for its recent successful presidential elections and showed confidence that the relationship between the two countries will remain fonder under the administration of the next Philippine President Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte.

According to the Department of Foreign Affairs, during the brief conversation with Eduardo Jose de Vega, Philippine Ambassador to Mexico after he received his credentials at a ceremony at Palacio Nacional in Mexico City last May 11, President Nieto asked about Philippine’s electoral and political processes.

The DFA also added yesterday that President Nieto also referred to the strong cultural and historical links between two countries and is wishing the best for the Philippines.

President Nieto’s did his state visit last year which coincided during the annual leaders’ of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum.

As the incoming Republic of the Philippine President, Duterte is also expected to be invited by the Mexicans for a return state visit.

With Mexico’s ranking 9th in the top tourist destinations in 2015, the Mexican government have emphasized that the drug and crime problems in the country are under the control.
