NCRPO Units Remained Full Alert In Metro Manila
NCRPO units remained full alert in Metro Manila as being prepared for any possible instances according to NCRPO chief said on Monday (September 05, 2016).
The alert level in Metro Manila was downgraded by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief Superintendent Oscar Albayalde statement. Regarding downgrading the alert level on the place Military spokesperson Col. Edgard Arevalo could not immediately provide reason according to his announcement earlier.
He said that he wasn’t told about the reason he just only received an SMS. “I surmise this follows from the directive that area commanders may downgrade or upgrade the alert status depending on their assessment of the prevailing situation on the ground,” said by Arevalo quoted by GMA.
The day off of the policemen was cancelled because of the full alert status they are ordered to report for duty. Some policemen were supposed to be on leave and vacation according to Albayalde. Stricter checkpoints and a heavier presence of policemen in public places should be expected by the residents.
