No Assignments To Be Given To Pupils During Weekends – DepEd

The Department of Education has released a memorandum to all public elementary schools requiring teachers to give no assignments to be given to pupils during weekends.

In portable document file (PDF) of the DepEd Memorandum No. 392, s. 2010, it said that students must not be given homework of assignments during weekends.

This is for pupils to enjoy their childhood and to spend quality time with their parents with thinking about lots of assignments given to them.

No Assignments

The said DepEd Memorandum was addressed to all Bureau Directors, Regional Directors, Schools Division/City Superintendents, and Public Elementary School Heads, and was released on September 16, 2010.
