Obama has voiced his firm support and solidarity with the LGBT community.
Obama has voiced his support to the LGBT community after the ‘worst in history’ incident in US. On tuesday, the US president Barack Obama calling Omar Mateen, “angry, disturbed, unstable young man who became radicalized.”
He expressed his great support by saying that, ”You are not alone. The American people and our allies and friends all over the world stand with you”. The president made this statement after a meeting with the National Security Council. Following the incident in a nightclub in Orlando Florida with 50 recorded fatality, the team discussed the US-led campaign against the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria
It is also reported that the IS claimed responsible for the incident as Mateen pledged allegiance to the IS leader in 911 calls made during the attack according to the FBI.
The information is confirmed while it can be recalled that a survivor of the incident has described the moments before her friend has passed and her eager attempts to look for her during the incident. She testified that the man said that he wanted, “Americans to stop bombing his country”.
Ms Carter said he made the claims about America’s bombings while dozens hid inside the bathroom. She said they could hear him pledge allegiance to ISIS during the 911 call.Mateen’s Father Mir Seddique, said in the news that, “We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident,we are in shock like the whole country.”
