The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the 24-hour public weather forecast for December 14, 2023. The current weather situation is influenced by the Northeast Monsoon in Luzon and Easterlies in other parts of the country.
In the provinces of Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes, expect overcast skies with light rain due to the Northeast Monsoon. However, significant impacts are not anticipated in these areas.
In Metro Manila and the entire Luzon region, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected. This condition is also a result of the influence of the Northeast Monsoon, but no significant adverse effects are expected in these areas.
In Visayas and Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are anticipated. This weather condition is caused by Easterlies or localized thunderstorms, which may lead to possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in these areas.
Regarding wind and coastal conditions, in Northern Luzon, moderate to strong winds from the Northeast are expected, with coastal waters ranging from moderate to rough (1.2 to 3.5 meters). In the rest of the country, light to moderate winds from the Northeast are anticipated, with slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 3.0 meters).
It is crucial to be prepared and vigilant for weather changes. Follow the advisories from PAGASA and local authorities to ensure the safety of everyone.
