Pagasa Afternoon Weather Forecast for March 25, 2025

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released its afternoon weather forecast for March 25, 2025, highlighting the potential impacts of a developing Low-Pressure Area (LPA).

Pagasa Weather Update

Synopsis:

As of 3:00 PM today, an LPA was estimated to be located 905 km east of Southeastern Mindanao (coordinates: 6.2°N, 133.8°E). The weather system is expected to bring rain and thunderstorms to parts of the country.

Forecast Weather Conditions:

  • Mindanao and Eastern Visayas – These areas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA. Residents should remain alert as moderate to heavy rains may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas.
  • Metro Manila and the Rest of the Country – The weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of easterlies. While most areas will remain generally dry, severe thunderstorms may trigger localized flash floods or landslides.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions:

  • Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – Winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast. Coastal waters will remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.
  • The Rest of the Country – Winds will be light to moderate from the east to southeast, with coastal waters also remaining slight to moderate and wave heights between 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

Pagasa advises residents, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides, to stay vigilant as heavy rains may lead to dangerous conditions. Fishermen and small seacraft operators are also advised to exercise caution when venturing into the sea due to moderate coastal conditions.

Pagasa continues to monitor the development of the LPA and will provide updates as needed. The public is encouraged to stay informed through official weather advisories and bulletins.
