Pagasa Afternoon Weather Forecast June 13, 2025

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released its afternoon weather advisory for June 13, 2025, warning of widespread heavy rainfall due to the prevailing Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.

Pagasa Weather Update

According to PAGASA, rainfall amounts ranging from 50 to 100 millimeters are expected from today until tomorrow afternoon (June 14) over the provinces of Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao City, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Sarangani, and South Cotabato. From tomorrow afternoon until Sunday afternoon (June 15), continued rains are forecast over Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, and Sarangani.

PAGASA emphasized that rainfall may be more intense in mountainous or elevated areas and that previous rains may aggravate flooding and landslide risks. The agency urged local government units and disaster risk reduction offices to take all necessary precautions. Localized Heavy Rainfall Warnings and Thunderstorm Advisories may be issued by PAGASA’s regional services as needed.

The ITCZ remains the primary weather system affecting Mindanao and Eastern Visayas, resulting in cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon is bringing similar conditions to the extreme northern part of Luzon, including Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte. In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms are expected due to easterlies.

Wind conditions vary across the country. Northern Luzon is experiencing moderate to strong winds from the southeast to southwest, leading to moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.5 meters). The rest of Luzon, as well as Visayas and Mindanao, will see light to moderate winds and calmer seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

General Flood Advisories have been issued in multiple regions, including CAR, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and various parts of Mindanao, including Regions 10 to 13 and BARMM.
