Weather Today

Forecast Weather Conditions:

  • Batanes and Babuyan Islands:
These areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. The primary cause of these weather patterns is the southwest monsoon. There is a risk of flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to heavy rainfall.
  • Metro Manila and the Rest of the Country:
Similar to Northern Luzon, Metro Manila and other regions will also see partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms. These are mainly due to localized thunderstorms, which may result in flash floods or landslides, particularly during severe downpours.

Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions:

  • Entire Philippines:
Across the country, expect light to moderate winds, blowing from the southeast to the southwest. Coastal waters will range from slight to moderate, with wave heights between 0.6 and 2.1 meters, making it relatively safe for seafarers, though caution is still advised.

Visayas, Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro Forecast:

  • In these areas, weather conditions are predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Localized thunderstorms are the main cause of these weather patterns. Winds will be light to moderate, coming from the southeast to the northeast. Coastal waters will remain slight to moderate, making sea travel relatively manageable.

Residents in affected areas are urged to stay alert, particularly in regions prone to flash floods or landslides during periods of moderate to heavy rain. The public is advised to regularly monitor Pagasa’s weather bulletins for updates.

With the LPA being closely monitored, Pagasa keeps a vigilant eye on potential developments that could affect the weather in the coming days.
