Restoration Of Handling Scarborough Shoal Issue Both Agreed By Philippines And China
Chinese vice foreign minister, Liu Zhenmin said that Philippines and China both agree to restore the track in handling the disputed waters issue.
President Rodrigo Duterte and Chinese President Xi Jinping have agreed to go five years back and bilateral tracks, Liu told the reporters in a briefing before the signing ceremony starts on Duterte’s 4 days state visit to China.
“The two presidents agreed that China and the Philippines will return to the track of dialogue and consultation to properly handle the South China Sea issue,” Liu said through a translator quoted by GMA.
Liu also said that this agreement indicates a new chapter of the maritime cooperation between China and Philippines. Duterte fly to China to boost the economic ties between the 2 countries.
