Philippines Huge Potential of Agricultural Growth Can be Unlock
On Tuesday (August 09, 2016) an analyst said that Philippines can unlock its huge potential agricultural growth. The high value crops are needed to be focused rather than rice and enhancing supply chain infrastructure can unlock the agricultural potential of our country.
In the next 15 years it is expected that around 23 million Filipinos will enter consuming class due to growing population and high demand for food. But our country does not produce as much as Vietnam and other neighbor countries that were more dedicated when it comes to their land.
Suraj Moraje, a senior partner at Mc Kinsey &Company said that our economy today can be much better in the future because of the huge potential in our agricultural industry that can grow the sector.
It is also mentioned that agriculture was not that so important sector not only in Manila but across the countries globally.
