PNP Stays Full Alert Nation For All Saints Day 2016 Commemoration
Philippines National Police (PNP) were on full alert nationwide to commemorate All Saints and All Souls Days on November 01, 2016.
On Monday afternoon (October 24, 2016), PNP chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa said in a press conference that the PNP will have no break or leave during Undas. The policemen were on full alert and assigned to stay on duty in all cemeteries and subdivision nationwide.
After the incident happened in Davao on September, the police force has been on full alert since Duterte declared a state of lawlessness in the city, according to PNP spokesperson Senior Superintendent Dionardo Carlos.
All regional and provincial offices were ordered to strengthen police visibility through mobile patrols. The police force will be secure vital installations, conduct security patrols at residential areas, coordinate with force multipliers and volunteer groups and will deploy road safety marshals.
