Vice President Jejomar Binay was seen booing Senator Antonio Trillanes.
Vice President and presidential candidate Jejomar Binay was one of the audiences who reacted to Senator Antonio Trillianes’ statement of corruption during the vice presidential debate conducted by CNN Philippines held at the University of Santo Tomas on Sunday.
During the debate, Trillanes accused the former Makati City Mayor of corruption, saying that he has talked with the witnesses and he has also seen the documents.
“Si Vice President Binay ay nangurakot. Nobody can change that kasi ‘yan po ang aking paniniwala. And, I have that right also to say that dahil nakita ko mismo, na-interview ko ang mga testigo at nakita ko ang mga dokumento,” he said.
After saying that, the camera then showed Binay booing along with the audiences. In a video posted by Philstar, Binay was seen reacting to the statement and saying, “Boo.”

Binay’s name was mentioned after his running mate Senator Gringo Honasan brought the issue of “trial by publicity” that some politicians have to face the issues about their alleged corruption acts.
Senator Trillanes is among the members of Senate Blue Ribbon subcommittee who initiated the investigation on allegations against Vice President Binay regarding his alleged anomalies during his time as the mayor of Makati City.
Binay has denied all the allegations and did not attend the proceedings. He has also filed P200-million damage suit against the former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) member and other individuals.
Senator Trillanes is running as an independent in this year’s election. He announced his candidacy in Agust last year.
