Binay seeks to meet Robredo personally as indicated in his letter sent to Robredo. The letter was dated May 31 of the year, addressed to Hon. Maria Leonor G. Robredo as the Vice President-elect of the Republic.
The letter reads the out-going president’s aspirations to the incoming vice president. Also, Binay gave his sincerest congratulations to Leni on her proclamation as the Vice President.
He wrote that he instructed his Chief of Staff, Undersecratary Benjamin Martinez Jr., to coordinate with Leni’s designated person for the transition as early as possible.
The letter of the out-going Vice President was posted by the daughter of Leni, Aika Robredo on her twitter account.
It can be noticed that the out-going VP expressed his aspiration to meet Robredo personally, perhaps to tackle things with regards to the transition.
He added that despite the modest budget in the Office of the Vice President, they were able to extend help to many of the poor and marginalized for the past six years. Binay also indicated that those help he mentioned in the letter includes Overseas Filipino Workers.
He ends his letter with these words, “I am confident that with you, as the next Vice President, the OVP will continue to be an instrument for social justice.”
In the letter can be seen the sincere objective of the out-going VP towards the transition of the responsibilities and obligation of the office.
