Duterte Questions God: ‘My God, Where Are You?’
Duterte Questions God – President Rodrigo Duterte questions God Himself, Monday, on where He is during horrifying crimes that happened in the Philippines and in the other parts of the world.
In a report by GMA News, the said remarks have been made when he defended his preference for his side over the d3ath penalty and his willingness to be probed on the human rights records he had but, he cleared out that it must be under the jurisdiction of the Philippine government.
“Hindi tumalab yung de@th penalty noon kasi hindi in-impose. One, because of the Catholic church. Second, the bleed1ng hearts, because only God can ki1l. Ang problema niyan, I ask you, what if there is no God?” Duterte said as quoted in the report.
In the report, Duterte questioned the existence of God when he asked where He is when a one-year-old baby, 18-months-old baby was taken from her mother and was brought under a jeep, then has been done with ‘heinous’ thing.’
Also, Duterte, during his speech in Malacañang, he mentioned the ‘dark things’ that have been happening in countries like Syria and in other parts of the world where women and children are being affected by the activities of the group, 1SIS.
“So where is God? My God, where are you? I believe in God but that is my perpetual question to him. Where were you when we needed you? It’s not enough to say that at the end of the world, he will judge the living and the dead,” Duterte said as quoted in the report.
The President also questioned the purpose of everything if the different hardships have already been brought to the world.
“What would be the purpose of all of that if the heartaches, sorrows, and agony have already been inflicted in this world?”
