Ilocos Norte is for Grace Poe instead of Miriam, running mate of Bongbong?
Ilocos Norte, the bailiwick of Marcos has pledge support to presidential candidate Grace Poe over Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, the running mate of vice presidential bet, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
According to a report of TV5 news program, Aksyon, Grace Poe recently went to the Solid North for a campaign.
She was accompanied by Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos but she denied endorsing Poe for May 9, 2016 National Elections.
Campaign posters of Grace Poe along with Bongbong Marcos also spread all over the Marcos’ bailiwick.
In Ilocos Sur, influential Singson clan has also declared support to the presidential candidate who emerged as the 2nd presidential choice in the latest Pulse Asia Survey administered by network giant, ABS-CBN.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte maintained his lead in the latest survey despite post-controversial remark to an incident that happened in 1989 which involved an Australian missionary.
The tough-talking candidate scored 35 percent followed by Grace Poe who scored 23 percent.
Liberal Party standard-bearer, on the other hand landed on third spot after scoring 17 percent while Vice President Jejomar Binay and Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago placed on the 4th and 5th place after scoring 16 percent and 2 percent respectively.
Bongbong Marcos on the other hand dominated the latest Pulse Asia Survey in vice presidential race with 29 percent followed by Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo with 24 percent.
Meanwhile, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, the running mate of Grace Poe said that he is glad that Ilocanos choose to support her.
