PNoy Votes With ‘Kodigo’ And Even Waited In The Line – No Special Treatment
President Benigno Aquino III (PNoy) cast his vote just wearing a light brown short and a handwritten ‘kodigo’ or list of his candidates in his home province of Tarlac where he took about one hour to complete his voting.
According to the report on Manila Bulletin, PNoy voted in the Central Azucarera de Tarlac Elementary School in the precinct No. 175-A at around 9:20 AM.
The President voted together with his sisters Ballsy Cruz and Pinky Abellada and other relatives.
In the report, it says that PNoy and his company was not given special treatment as they all waited in line for about 30 minutes.
At about 10 AM, PNoy votes and started casting his vote in the polling center with a ‘kodigo’ or list of his preferred candidates.
His glitch-free casting of votes took a bit more time for almost an hour.
Just like other voters, PNoy finished his voting and placed his vote to the vote counting machine and his forefinger was also marked with the indelible ink. He also checked the voter receipt and got no problems with it.
The report said that the President didn’t allow any media interview, though, he granted a photo session with the election personnel.
The President who immediately went to the Palace to monitor the election appealed to the Filipinos to “help ensure a peaceful and orderly elections and to accept the outcome of the polls.”
PNoy said that people must respect and understand the results of the choice of the majority just – as what democracy is.
