Roxas Dares Duterte To Disclose Bank Accounts

Mar Roxas challenged to disclosed his alleged undeclared bank accounts.

Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas challenged the presidential frontrunner Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to disclose his bank accounts. This comes after Senator Antonio Trillanes claimed that the tough-talking politician did not declare more than P200 Million in his bank accounts.

During a campaign rally in Cebu City, Mar Roxas told duterte to reveal his bank accounts. He also asked him why he did not declare it in his statement of assets and liabilities (SALN).

“Mayor Duterte, I call on you: Reveal the truth about these bank accounts. Where did the funds in these bank accounts come from? And why did you not put this in your SALN?” he asked.

Senator and vice presidential candidate Trillanes claimed that he has proof of transactions showing records of credited money into the account held by Duterte and his daughter Sara. The said bank is the Bank of the Philippine Islands in Pasig City.

According to Inquirer, Trillanes is still validating the information given to him and he would reveal it to the public once they are already verified. He also said that the undeclared amount was P277 million and not P211 million as earlier reported.

Trillanes also said that he would reveal this information earlier if he received the data sooner.

Duterte has denied the allegations, saying that he is a liar. According to him, Trillanes is doing this because he rejected him to be his running mate. Duterte chose Senator Alan Cayetano as his vice president.

  1. Trillianes says it. Duterte denies it. If Trillianes comes out right, Duterte is the big LIAR and corrupt after all. Trllianes may not win as Vice President based on the surveys but he will be doing great service to our country preventing a cursing killer and freak candidate for President to govern and represent us to the world.
