Thousands Expected To Come At Duterte Party In Davao
A massive party will be done in Davao City, June 4, in celebration of the victory of the presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte.
According to a report by ABS-CBN, the said event will probably be called, “One Love, One Nation” and there are about 200,000 people expected to come. The event is said to start from 1 p.m. until 1 a.m. the next day. It will be held at the Crocodile Park as host and event co-organizer Kat De Castro reveals.
“This is the first time na magkakaroon ng ganitong kalaking event sa Davao, kasi ngayon lang naman talaga nagkaroon ng isang president from Mindanao,” De Castro told ABS-CBN as quoted in the article.
[This is the first time to have an event this big in Davao because this is actually the only time to have a president from Mindanao]
The report added that the incoming president Duterte is expected to come in the event but the time of his appearance is still not clear. His family will be there.
The event co-organizer said that there will be a huge party that is being initiated by business leaders in Davao. De Castro pointed out that there will be no public funds to be used in the said event.
She added that celebrities like Vice Ganda, Arnell Ignacio, Jimmy Bondoc and more will come to the event.
Also, there will be a medical mission and a feeding program to be held at the People’s Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
