Popular Tourists Spots Will Have Tighter Security: PNP Chief

Popular tourists spots in the country will have a tighter security ordered by Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

On Saturday (September 10, 2016), Dela Rosa ordered the PNP to tighten the security on heavy populated places and also on popular tourists’ spots in the country to avoid the incident like what happened to Davao City.

During the Police Service Anniversary, PNP chief visits MIMAROPA by saying “Our tourists should be safe and secure. I am going around the country because I have to see that our police are really doing their sworn mandate in line with the declaration of State of National Emergency,” said by Dela Rosa quoted by GMA.

Ronald said that tourist spots where many foreigners are in the place would be a different story if that place will be attacked. He emphasized that the incidents happened outside highly urbanize area have a small impact rather than populated area.
