10 Infra Projects Including Manila-Bicol Rail Approved By President Duterte
10 infrastructure projects including the railway from Manila to Bicol Region has already approved by President Rodrigo Duterte.
On Tuesday (November 15, 2016), Malacañang said that the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Board, which chaired by President Duterte approved the 10 infrastructure projects that will be implemented nationwide.
One of the 10 infrastructure projects was the railway from Manila going to Bicol Region. This 653-kilometer North-South Railway project will connect Manila’s Tutuban shopping district to Legaspi City in Albay Province.
This railway will have an extension from Legazpi to Matnog in Sorsogon and Calamba, then Laguna to Batangas Province. These infrastructure projects were approved to improve the transportation system and to address the traffic issues in the country.
Duterte administration was moving rapidly rather than Aquino administration in nation’s squeaking framework systems, according to Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia.
